Another Old Phart

Watched a short interview on the news the other night, another old phart had reached the century mark. One hundred years old. Have noticed several of those sort of interviews in the last few months. One question the Talking Head – sarcasm-speak for On Air Reporter – will always ask is, “To what do you owe your remarkable longevity?”

Did some research and as it turns out, 9 out of 10 centenarians have a common denominator. The read the Bible daily. Butt – speaking of Talking Heads again – the news will not include that part of the answer.

“My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart [remember them]; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.” Proverbs 3

“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40

Just a little FYI to end this, the whole longevity of eagles, that’s another story entire. Let’s just say they never die from stress or high blood pressure.
