Think with your head, not your ears.

“If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.” Mark Twain

“A fool vents all his feelings, but a wise man holds them back.” Proverbs 29:11

America is plagued these days with too many fools. Too much outrage, not enough wisdom. If taken collectively by all of the groups marching in our streets and shouting at the top of their lungs, America would adopt the following: “Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. No animal shall wear clothes. No animal shall sleep in a bed. No animal shall drink alcohol. No animal shall kill any other animal.* My personal favorite: because some animals have suffered more than others, they shall have special rights awarded them.

This is the year that collectively We-the-People will elect a President. If – a very big if – we can sort through all of the voices of outrage and a blatantly biased media. On the Democrats side there are only two and one of those insists on shouting down the other during a debate. If the loudest voice wins, Napoleon the boar, America’s first emperor, could be replaced by a screaming sow.

I remember a night a year ago when 17 candidates stood on the Republican state. Almost immediately, 16 boys got into a pissing contest. One woman stood on that stage and answered every question without flinching, dodging, or shouting over the top of any one. She gave solutions to very real problems. The only reason that she has disappeared and we are left with three boys still having a pissing contest, is because the national media ignored her. That lady was the only adult in the room.

I have been called a misogynist because I will not vote for a woman. Not true. If I had the opportunity, I would vote for that lady today. But because i refuse to vote for the woman still running I get to listen to outrage.

Time to wake up America and think with your brain and not with your ears.
